The Linux Council is excited to announce the next meeting on June 3rd.    We have an exciting agenda with topics addressing cloud management, business case around cloud and ways to innovate with cloud.   See details below.

IBM Linux on z Systems Executive Advisory Customer Council

You’re invited to join us for the next session of the Linux on z Systems Executive Advisory Council. We launched this council in 2002 in order to garner your insights and foster communications among the z Systems Linux community. We are grateful for ISO/Verisk’s gracious invitation to host this council session at their auditorium, particularly given our tremendous gains in attendance and popularity.The council welcomes Anthony Tortola from SUSE. Anthony will be discussing SUSE strategy for its distribution.  Next on the agenda, the council is pleased to announce Ernie Horn from the IBM LinuxONE Tiger Team.  Ernie will be providing an update on IBM WAVE as well as discussing how administration tools are complementary to cloud deployments. The council is also pleased to have John Leon from Puppet.   As the director of Business Development, John will be providing details on Puppet’s role in cloud deployments and discussing the exciting support for Linux on z Systems.  Next on the agenda is Christopher T von Koschembahr.  He will be discussing his thoughts on embracing the hybrid cloud and steps to take.   The council is also pleased to have Helene Rude from the Marist Cloud Computing and Analytics Center.  Helene will be discussing the role of the CCAC in new business development and how it is helping build Next Gen Skills on z Systems.  Last on agenda we have Shereen Ghobrial from the IBM Complier Lab.   Shereen will be discussing IBM’s strategy for supporting the Apple Swift programming language for Linux on z.
